Overview

NITE-XPRIME is a high-precision gyro-stabilised spherical camera system that combines mid-wave infrared (MWIR) imaging technology with a high-resolution telescopic visible-light camera in a single housing. It detects targets across maritime, land and airborne domains easily and accurately, even under adverse environmental conditions such as fog, rain and snow. Based on carrier vibration data from the gyroscope, the control system performs real-time active compensation and adjustment to deliver a clear, stable image even on moving platforms. Infrared detection, visible-light imaging, a laser range finder and gyro stabilisation are integrated into one system. An independent defog and de-icing module prevents lens fogging caused by ambient temperature differentials, while the IP67 rating and salt-spray resistance protect the system against corrosion and acid rain. All values are given with a tolerance of ±5%.
